First of, it 's never too late or too early

to start something that you like. Here at Stay_K,

we love the quote "You can 't buy happiness, but you can

buy a skateboard. That 's pretty close!" For beginners, we usually

recommend the pre-built complete skateboards and of course protective

gear, so that you make your first push with safety.

If you are still to decide whether you need a cruiser skateboard

just to roll around the city or a normal skateboard to start learning

tricks, then follow our guide below.

***from polars page***Choosing a skateboard deck is probably the most important part in the process of building your custom setup. It also plays a big role in what kinds / sizes of other parts you choose next. Usually, the size depends on your height, shoe size and what style of skateboarding you like. Trying slightly different sizes is ideal to find what's best for you and eventually stick to it for as long as it serves you. The most common shape since the early 90s is the Popsicle, because that's around when street skating (therefore, technical skating) started becoming by far the most popular. A great thing, that nowadays has become normal, is that you can skate different shapes from time to time according to your mood. Skateboard companies have evolved and the market, thankfully, offers this possibility. For a full Guide on how to choose your skateboard deck and the rest of the parts for your setup, click here. Also, have in mind that on Stay_K skate shop you can filter by your favorite size and whether you need a classic or a special shaped deck, as well as by signature pro model so that you can skate your favorite pro's favorite shape. This way, choosing your next skateboard deck is made easier for you. On each product page there is all the information you might need about the product, but feel free to contact us for any questions.
