The parts of a skateboard truck go like this: The baseplate is bolted to the deck. In the baseplate's the kingpin, where polyurethane bushings sit that make the truck turn. Then, the axle's where wheels are placed. Axle's in the hanger and this is where you grind on curbs and on ramps' coping. From these, you understand how crucial the trucks are for your skateboard setup. After all, they're responsible for the turns, grinds and more!
