On 25th of June, to celebrate the International Go Skateboarding Day that is globally celebrated every year on the 21st (Sunday being more convenient for everyone to join), we took it out in the streets once more. From spot to spot, homies from all cities around Cyprus gave it their best. There was a really good attendance and participation by the kiddos this time which makes us even more happy. They killed it, especially at the bank spot.
At the first spot, the Phaneromenis 7-stair, everyone that skated, knowingly or otherwise, took part in a planned mission: the re-opening of this legendary set. It'd faced endless sessions in the past during events and whatnot, until about twelve years ago when it'd closed. Re-opening this legendary spot in what came out as the best way possible was special and you could see it from the energy.
At the second spot, the Liberty Monument, we did a side-event with Red Bull, a Mind the Gap competition, where Makri, Robbie, Tony, Nipa, Tasos and Nadiotis won a 50 euros coupon each.
Take into consideration that both Spot 1 & 2 were big stairs, in the middle of the noon heat of Cyprus summer. This didn't prevent hammers to go down non-stop. Mad Respect to the boys!
